Because its density almost reaches the ideal theoretical density and the service cycle is long, the tensile strength and high temperature deformation resistance of the forged tungsten crucible will be higher than that of other types of tungsten crucibles. 3. High Density Forged Tungsten Crucible Manufacturing Process:
The preparation of the tungsten crucible by the forging method is mainly completed through three steps. They are billet preparation, forging and machining respectively. In general, the relative density of the billet is 90%-95%. When preparing the billet, the required size and quality of the tungsten rod should be calculated according to the requirements of the finished product. Then the prepared billet, that is, the tungsten rod, is put into a hydrogen furnace for heating, and the temperature should be increased to 1400-1600 °C. After holding for a period of time, forging and forging are carried out, and then the billet is heated and forged several times again until the size of the billet meets the requirements. After the forging is completed, the billet is annealed and then dimensioned according to the requirements of the finished product.

Affected by equipment and forging process, the size of forged tungsten crucible is relatively small, generally less than 100mm in diameter. The final finished tungsten crucible is made of tungsten rod, and the utilization rate of the material is not high.
